Prabhas’s film The Raja Saab has finally been released and is receiving a positive response. Meanwhile, the first-look poster of his next film Spirit has gone viral. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the poster has sparked intense discussion on social media, with fans closely examining every detail and coming up with their own theories. Now, the filmmaker has spoken about the poster and hinted at certain elements of the story.
Prabhas and Triptii as Husband and Wife
In an interview, Sandeep Reddy Vanga spoke about working with actors Prabhas, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar. During the conversation, he addressed audience reactions to the Spirit poster and shared insights about the film.
Vanga said, “That’s a one-litre bottle, but in the poster it looks like a glass in his hand. People also felt that there is another glass kept on the railing, and that both the husband and wife are drinking.” With this statement, he subtly confirmed that Prabhas and Triptii Dimri will be playing a married couple in the film.
“A Cult Poster,” Says Vanga
Calling it his best poster so far, Vanga said, “This image is taken from a scene in the film. I was thinking about how I should present Prabhas after Baahubali. It had to be something special. Yes, without a doubt, this is my best poster till date. It’s a cult poster.”
When asked how he came up with the idea, he explained, “It’s taken directly from a scene in the film. I kept thinking about how to present him after Baahubali, and I believe this works perfectly.”
What the Poster Shows
In the poster, Prabhas is seen with long hair, a thick beard, and a moustache. He is standing shirtless with his back to the camera, bearing visible injury marks and bandages on his shoulders, arms, and back. He is wearing loose white pants, holding a cigarette and a glass of alcohol. Triptii Dimri stands beside him in a simple sari, lighting his cigarette.
Apart from Prabhas and Triptii, the film also features Vivek Oberoi, Kanchana, and Prakash Raj in important roles. It is expected that Prabhas will be seen playing a police officer, while Triptii will portray his love interest. Initially, the role was offered to Deepika Padukone, but it eventually went to Triptii Dimri.
